Our cultural workshops cater to a diverse range of audiences, including schools, corporate groups, correctional services, special events like bridal parties and many more! These workshops provide an immersive and engaging experience, allowing participants to explore the rich heritage, unique traditions, arts, and customs of the Cook Islands.

Dance Workshops

Manea Pacifica is renowned for award winning teachings passed down through two generations of International winning dancers. Visitors can participate in dance workshops to learn the traditional dance styles of the Cook Islands Ura for both males and females, which are characterised by intricate hip movements and rhythmic leg work. These workshops often include instruction on the cultural significance and storytelling elements of the dances.

Ukelele/Drumming Workshops

The Cook Islands have a strong musical heritage, with traditional drumming and ukulele playing being integral parts of the culture. Visitors can join workshops to learn how to play the Cook Islands' traditional drums and/or the ukulele, a beloved instrument in Polynesian music. These workshops provide insights into the rhythms, techniques, and cultural context of the music.

Costume Making Workshops

The vibrant costumes and adornments worn during cultural performances and celebrations in the Cook Islands are a visual representation of the islands' rich heritage. Costume workshops offer the opportunity to create traditional Cook Island costumes from scratch. Participants can learn the significance and symbolism behind these cultural pieces.
